Research Shows That College Grads Are Better Employed Than You Think

A 2014 Wall Street Journal article declared, “Welcome to the well-educated barista economy.”  The gist of the piece?  An attempt to get to the bottom of “why young adults have been hit so hard,” in the wake of the Great Recession.

As it turns out, however, they might not have been impacted as detrimentally as most people think, according to a just-released National Bureau of Education Research (NBER) working paper, “Underemployment in the Early Careers of College Graduates Following the Great Recession.” Here’s a rundown of the findings.
